Practice Management

Meg

Certified Veterinary Practice Manager

From starting as an office assistant at the age of 15 all the way up to Practice Manager, Meg has worked in veterinary medicine in multiple aspects across the state for over 22 years. Meg manages all aspects of the clinic from client and patient care to business. Meg believes that every employee (no matter what their position) has skills and knowledge that are critical to the success of excellent customer service and patient care. It is with this in mind that Meg and our management team empower and collaborate with each team member to continually evolve and progress our clinic. She is a strong believer in leadership and team work over traditional management.

Meg is an active member of the VHMA (Veterinary Hospital Managers Association) and attends and devours every bit of continuing education that she can. She is one of the very few Practice Managers in New York State that has earned the credentials of “CVPM” for Certified Veterinary Practice Manager through the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association. These credentials are awarded after extensive education, experience and testing. Meg also enjoys writing about the veterinary industry. She has been published in several veterinary publications and is a regular blogger on www.vetsuccess.com.

In the very little free time she has, Meg spends time with her husband Rob, her daughter Faye, twin boys Jimmy and Toby, and their cats.

Lauren

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Lauren has been part of our clinic since 2004. She graduated from SUNY Canton in 2005 a degree in Veterinary Technology and Hospital Management. After being a critical part of the management team as Lead Licensed Technician for over a decade, Lauren was promoted to the role of Assistant Practice Manager. Lauren’s education, knowledge, expertise and invaluable experience benefits our patients, clients and staff every day. Every day her priority is to help our patients (and also try to not get bit!). Outside of work, Lauren likes to spend time with her husband and 2 kids, as well theirĀ  hound, 3 cats, an old horse, a duck and some chickens. Her farm full of pets is part of her family.
